My name is Toya Hauf. I’m a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and Army brat. Over the course of my decades on this earth, I’ve experienced many difficult life transitions. During those times, I struggled to find a support system to help me navigate those challenges. Now, after having raised my kids and sold my long-running business to my partner, I’ve moved into my third phase of life and am serving for others as the support system I wished for myself.
I work with people who need support in navigating life changes; from young adults transitioning into independence to older adults who are solo-aging or caring for their aging parents. I specialize in personal achievement, while addressing anxiety and depression and stress. I'll help you gain insights into poor habits and behaviors and interpersonal situations that may be keeping you from seeing your fullest potential. If you are struggling with mood, confidence, relationship, or productivity concerns, I bring a compassionate, results-oriented approach to help you experience a higher quality of life. With decades of experience creating change and positive outcomes as a business owner and life coach, now as a psychotherapist I provide you an environment to confidently and comfortably reach your best self.
Using eclectic modalities, I support my clients in understanding what is holding them back from making healthy choices and in discovering and choosing the tools that will help them confidently and consciously face the transitions in their lives head-on. Working with me, clients develop new ways to take on the challenges that come with life changes: from changing jobs to changing relationships. My goal always is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space in which people can do the work necessary to achieve and maintain wellbeing and reach fulfillment.

I will be accepting new supervisees for clinical supervision beginning September 1, 2025. I would love to connect with you if you are seeking someone who brings an integrative and collaborative approach to supervision.
I come to social work as a Black female; Army Brat and preacher’s kid; and wife, mother, and grandmother. I grew up, was educated, and worked in overwhelmingly white spaces, many times being one of only two or three persons of color. I consider myself in my third phase of life after having started my work life as a single mother with a secretarial job, before moving on to become a small business owner for two decades, and now being an older clinician raising her grandchild.
I enjoy working with people who have chosen clinical social work as their second or third career as well as those who want to start their own private practice. My preferred treatment modalities are DBT, ACT, and CBT. I am trained in and regularly use Accelerated Resolution Therapy. My area of practice is focused mostly on clients experiencing major life transitions.
My person-centered supervision style prioritizes collaborative learning, clinician self-reflection and self-care. I bring experience from both in-patient psychiatric care and individual therapy as well as 20 years of small business ownership.
All sessions are virtual with the following rates:
· Individual supervision: $70/hour – sliding scale slots intermittently available
· Paired supervision (2 supervisees together): $55/hour
· Group supervision (minimum 3 participants): $40/hour
If you’d like to explore working with me, I’m happy to provide a phone consult to answer any questions you may have.
